Instance Labs’ Autonomous PCB Line
A proposed on-bench system that fabricates, assembles, and tests printed circuit boards from design files.
Field notes
The proposed system accepts Gerbers, a bill of materials, and a pick-and-place file, then coordinates fabrication, component placement, reflow, and electrical verification. Its three named stages are a PCB printer, PCB assembler, and flying-probe tester, with listed support for up to four-layer rigid boards, 6 mil traces and spacing, and 0402 components. Instance Labs states that the line can produce a tested board in about six hours, but the homepage does not independently demonstrate that performance.
