The project attaches durable browser pages to physical plant markers, so a visitor can scan a specimen and read care guidance written for local conditions rather than a national average. Its regional material includes Coastal Bend growing data, with USDA zones 9a–9b and 400–600 chill hours, plus references to caliche soil, humidity, and hard freezes. The site also provides a bed map for following nearby plantings and invites gardens to request access or contribute.
