Lockstep uses the daily step total already held in Apple Health rather than asking users to log activity manually. The site describes several competition shapes, including head-to-head races, custom date ranges, and targets, while limiting its stated data scope to steps and never writing back to Health. It is currently distributed through TestFlight, with App Store availability described as forthcoming.
