The organiser supplies pet details, a last-seen point, and contact information, then receives a public search link and a private organiser link. Volunteers claim map blocks and mark them covered, with blue and green states separating claimed work from completed coverage. The design also lets coverage fade over time, reflecting the site’s premise that a route searched on Monday may need revisiting by Thursday. Dog, Cat, and Other are available as species choices, while photos and search notes are optional.
