The Night Bite: a night-fishing notebook for Hoover Reservoir
An unofficial Hoover Reservoir fishing hub combining live water readings, species guidance, maps, trip logs, gear notes, and a fictional pixel-fishing game.
Field notes
The site uses a USGS reservoir gauge to show pool elevation and water temperature, then explains how the current pool level changes the usefulness of an ODNR contour map drawn at 894 feet. Its guidance covers catfish, bass, panfish, and saugeye, while also noting the reservoir’s 10 HP idle-speed rule and drinking-water status. The displayed readings are provisional, and the trip log is currently represented by sample entries and a loading message. Whisperwood is explicitly a fictional pixel-fishing side project.
