PennyClose checks whether bank-statement PDFs actually balance
A reconciliation tool that reads bank or card statement PDFs, checks every transaction against the printed opening and closing balances, and exports tied files for accounting software.
Field notes
The workflow accepts up to 20 PDF files at 20 MB each and checks both the transaction sequence and the statement’s printed opening and closing figures. The public demonstration shows 22 rows for a synthetic Meridian Commerce Bank statement, with credits, debits, and a running balance that reconcile to 8,546.57. It also marks one possible transfer separately from income or expense. The page states that processed files are held in memory and discarded.
