SelectSay turns highlighted text into a macOS listening queue
A Mac app reads selected text aloud in the app where you found it, with a keyboard shortcut, pause controls, and a moving highlight.
Field notes
SelectSay runs as a macOS overlay: select text in a PDF, note, browser page, or other application, then invoke Option-S to hear it without moving the text into a second reader. Playback follows the passage with a jade highlight; Space pauses and Escape closes the overlay. The site also describes an open Skill for agent-generated takeaways, with speech queued FIFO. Listed plans include a seven-day trial and separate limits for Chinese speech.
