World Lit Reader: a searchable shelf for world literature
A public-domain literature reader that lets visitors browse works, search for passages, ask questions, and save reading notes locally.
Field notes
The interface combines corpus browsing with question-driven retrieval: a reader can open a work by segment or ask for passages matching a topic, then review the surrounding context. Reading state stays on the device, with export and import controls for saved data, notes, bookmarks, and highlights. Beyond reading, the site exposes author, work, and theme games, along with a benchmark area that evaluates retrieval relevance, usefulness, labeling, and the mix of texts returned.
