بيّنة: A Quran and Hadith Evidence Archive
An Arabic research archive and browser-based tool for searching the Quran and hadith, measuring word associations, and comparing observed patterns with statistical expectations.
Field notes
The project indexes the Quran in both Uthmani and conventional orthography, with 130,030 morphologically tagged segments, and indexes 29,086 hadith texts from seven named collections. Its ميزان tool searches roots, lemmas, and word forms, then compares observed co-occurrence with an expected baseline using G² and significance thresholds. A preregistration feature timestamps a researcher’s prediction before the search, distinguishing a planned test from a pattern discovered by mining the corpus.
