AREA LOG, a shared field guide for managed fishing spots
A Japanese fishing-log tool that combines crowd-sourced catch reports, spot maps, conditions, and private trip notes.
Field notes
The project organizes fishing knowledge around individual managed ponds rather than treating reports as a general social feed. Its map can represent terrain, fish activity, and responsive locations on an adjustable grid; one displayed hotspot derives from 48 posts. A freshness layer asks whether a three-day-old report still works, and the shown sample records 18 responses. Personal notes can include lure configuration, water conditions, photographs, and a short tactical memo before optional publication.
