The workflow operates on the image file in the browser: it detects a C2PA content-credentials chunk, removes it, and produces a fresh PNG or JPEG for download. The page says PNG processing is lossless and JPEG output uses quality 92%. It also separates metadata from embedded pixel watermarks, noting that re-encoding will not remove systems such as Google’s SynthID; that limitation is presented as the boundary of the current tool.
