Cratebase installs as a Rust binary and exposes a local dashboard at port 8090 alongside API and realtime endpoints. Its migration story is unusually explicit: the page shows PocketBase-compatible SDK calls, SQLite and Postgres connection strings, and a Postgres cross-node realtime path using LISTEN / NOTIFY. The AI layer includes vector fields, automatic embeddings, an LLM gateway, and MCP endpoints, but the site limits its stated cosine-similarity search to 20,000 candidates and labels the public demo as forthcoming.
