DNS Button changes the DNS setting on the active macOS network connection rather than routing traffic through its own service. When opened, it reads the setting back from macOS, which is intended to reveal when a VPN or another process has taken over. The page lists measured response times for providers such as Cloudflare, Quad9, NextDNS, and OpenDNS. A one-time Pro purchase adds custom resolvers, network-specific rules, leak tests, filter checks, and cache flushing.
