Drivoom: Engine Noise for an Electric Car

drivoom.com Observed source
Editorial interest 79/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A Polish-built audio simulator that uses GPS speed and virtual gears to make an electric car sound like a V8, rally boxer, turbine, or warp drive.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-06 issue.

Field notes

Drivoom converts GPS-estimated road speed into synthetic revs and gear changes rather than reading data directly from the car. Its controls include automatic or manual shifting, a 130 km/h speed ceiling, bass-depth and rev-height adjustments, and a stationary slider for testing. Separate options address Bluetooth speakers and vehicles that close browser apps when they start moving. The page warns against operating the interface while driving.
