The database reworks a prefectural register dated January 1, 2025, dividing 3,729 corporations across 58 municipalities and affiliation categories. Its analysis distinguishes 227 independent corporations from 3,502 affiliated ones, then compares raw counts with population-adjusted density. The site also records the limits of its source: national-level corporations, unincorporated religious groups, representative names, worship access, fees, and benefits are outside the dataset.
