LADEINDEX Refuses to Pretend Every Charger Is Reliable

ladeindex.com Observed source
Editorial interest 86/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

An independent European index maps public charging facilities and tracks how much is actually known about their operating reliability.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-06 issue.

Field notes

LADEINDEX separates infrastructure inventory from reliability measurement. Its map covers 131,598 facilities and 249,472 charging points, but currently uses brightness to indicate how much underlying information exists rather than pretending to rank performance. The project records operating status hourly and says a meaningful reliability value requires months of history. Its source material includes Germany’s Bundesnetzagentur register and Austria’s E-Control directory, with archived raw data described as reproducible.
