A Windows utility that locally converts STL and OBJ meshes into STEP or IGES B-Rep solids for use in mainstream CAD software.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-06 issue.

Field notes

MeshSolid presents a four-stage offline workflow: import STL or OBJ, inspect and repair the mesh, stitch it into a closed B-Rep body, and export STEP AP214 or IGES. The page says the converter can weld duplicate vertices, remove degenerate faces, fill simple holes, correct normals, and reduce mesh density for large models. Its downloadable Windows build is version 0.6.2 and is distributed as a portable ZIP; macOS, PLY, and 3MF support are described as future plans.
