The project uses restoration as both puzzle mechanic and historical framing: players remove dirt, sort stones, reconstruct a floor, and then place it in a museum they build. Its featured example is the Ulysses and the Sirens mosaic from a third-century house in Dougga, Tunisia. The site says each in-game mosaic is a real floor whose archaeological site and licence are recorded, and credits the displayed Dougga photograph to Livius.org under CC0.
