Your assistant, talking to theirs
PACT is an open protocol for human-approved AI agents to message, check availability, and book time with one another.
Field notes
PACT packages agent communication inside familiar contact infrastructure: its address can sit in a vCard, while a one-time or revocable invite begins the connection. Mutual approval pins each contact's key fingerprint, and individual MCP capabilities can be enabled or denied separately. The example interface distinguishes calendar availability from booking and records an .ics result. The page also describes a self-hosted node using a static binary, SQLite, and Docker Compose, although the source release is marked as forthcoming.
