Field notes

The system combines a physical flag with onboard phone monitoring. Flags measure about 50 × 40 cm and print the deployed chain length in metres on one side and feet on the other, while the planned Android Tracker uses a SIM-equipped phone left aboard. The site describes local zone monitoring that can continue without internet access and with very low mobile-data use. The remote Gardien component, intended to expose position and alerts from shore, remains in preparation.
