The guide separates two routes: preserve a genuine compatible controller and electronics inside a revised enclosure, or build a USB prototype around a KB2040 and hand-wired controls. Its parts evidence is unusually concrete, including six key LEDs, eight perimeter LEDs, a capacitive touch electrode, a planar joystick, and fit-test coupons.
