LONG BOND, a Portrait You Can Hold
A Taiwanese custom pet-memorial shop turns a photograph into a tactile metal portrait with an engraved reverse.
Field notes
The process begins with one or more uploaded photographs, which the maker reviews before arranging the pet's facial shape, ears, color boundaries, and other identifying features. A customer approval step precedes production rather than sending an unreviewed image directly to fabrication. The front carries the raised portrait, while the reverse can hold a name, date, and personal message. Current material choices are light aluminum at NT$1,690 and warm brass at NT$2,090; a silver option is described as still in development.
