The calculator asks for the place and local circumstances of birth rather than treating a date and time as location-free. Its method applies timezone and daylight-saving rules, then adjusts for longitude and the equation of time; the page gives a July 4, 1990 comparison in Seoul and New York where the displayed Hour pillars differ. Unknown birth hours produce a three-pillar reading instead of an invented value. A longer report is offered separately for $12.99.
