School Match NYC and the Mathematics of a High-School List
A NYC public-high-school admissions tool that models chances across more than 900 programs and tests whether a family's MySchools list has enough safety.
Field notes
The tool asks for a student's academic group and DIA from MySchools, along with borough, interests, lottery number, and an optional practice SHSAT score. It then compares programs using DOE data on seats, applicants, admissions methods, and priorities, presenting both a percentage and a range. The page cites 943 programs in its Fall 2025 directory data and includes a 2026–27 application calendar. Auditions and essays are explicitly outside the model.
