Shockwave, a World-Scale Trade-Shock Simulator
An interactive economics simulator lets you set a tariff, capital-flight, or migration shock in one of 208 countries and trace its effects across the world.
Field notes
Shockwave exposes a browser-based model for tariffs, capital flight, and migration caps across 208 countries. Users can move a country from open to sealed and inspect GDP, trade, investment, labour, and other outcome categories, with GDP intervals generated through Monte Carlo sampling. The page identifies a one-to-two-year counterfactual horizon and limits its accounting to goods trade; services and remittances are flagged but excluded.
