Field notes
The project combines a film ledger with interactive views that can be filtered by universe and expressed in either nominal or 2025-dollar terms. Its 15 findings draw on 91 films and cover more than gross alone, including budgets, reviews, profitability, overseas share, release legs, and cast overlap. A distinctive feature is the Design notes mode, which explains choices such as using a treemap for concentration and warning when small group sizes make quartiles unstable.
