Field notes
The browser performs encryption before the secret is sent, while the service retains an encrypted blob linked to a random ID and a 24-hour expiry. The decryption key travels in the URL fragment, which the page explains is not included in ordinary requests. Current limits are unusually concrete: text only, 10,000 characters, one read, and 10 requests per minute per IP address. Lost links cannot be recovered.
