Chatda Searches Inside the Files You Forgot You Had
A free Windows file searcher that indexes the text inside HWP, PDF, Office, image, and other documents.
Field notes
The searcher builds a local index spanning filenames and document text, then supports ordinary queries, Korean initial consonants, mistyped keyboard input, filters, and regular expressions. Its examples use ㅇㅇㄱ to locate documents containing 위약금 and show matching passages without opening each file. The page lists HWP, PDF, Office, ODF, legacy CP949 text, and image OCR among its inputs. It also describes a local MCP server, CSV/JSON export, and a first indexing pass that may take about 22 minutes for 100,000 documents.
