Nixorium, a control room for shared NixOS labs
An open-source system for configuring, installing, updating, and restoring shared NixOS computers from one controller over a local network.
Field notes
The controller stores a declarative lab configuration covering shared software, accounts, settings, and permitted machine-specific differences. Workstations are installed and updated over the LAN, while the controller needs Internet during setup or when it must fetch software not already available locally. Rebooting restores each student home directory from a prepared template, and the page describes up to five locally retained snapshots for recovering included files. The displayed project state is v2.0.0-beta.3 and the code is presented under the MIT license.
