Pilznavigator Maps Where Mushrooms Might Be Fruiting
A browser-based German tool estimates promising habitats for porcini, chanterelles, and other edible mushrooms from forest, terrain, soil-moisture, and weather data.
Field notes
The model works on a user-selected map rectangle and combines OpenStreetMap forest attributes with Open-Meteo elevation and weather inputs, including a 31-day lookback and seven-day forecast. Three target species are available, and users can alter weights for stand type, terrain, moisture, and personal observations. The page explicitly says tree-species coverage is incomplete, soil data is absent, and the current protected-area layer is only a rough OpenStreetMap approximation.
