An interactive tool that re-ranks 80 vocations according to a reader’s chosen weights for play, pay, autonomy, body, meaning, demand, and other factors.
Field notes
The model combines adjustable preferences with hard constraints: users can set a pay floor, cap physical demand and hours burden, require remote viability, and decide whether licensed work is acceptable. Results include salary ranges, estimated years to competence, percentile-style factor scores, and short explanations of what drives each rank. The page attributes pay to BLS OEWS May 2024 national data and outlook to BLS employment projections for 2025–35, while labeling its qualitative scores editorial estimates.
