Mac Control Wheel, an app switcher you turn with your wrist

maccontrolwheel.com Observed source
Editorial interest 83/100 Selection signal · not a rating of the site

A proposed macOS app switcher that uses trackpad gestures to move through open apps with a rotary dial.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-09 issue.

Field notes

The proposed switcher maps hand rotation to app selection: the default three-finger grip treats the thumb as a pivot, advances one position every 12 degrees, and commits when the fingers lift. The page also documents a two-finger alternative, including measured finger-spread ranges intended to distinguish rotation from scrolling. A six-position browser demo is available now, but the native macOS application is explicitly marked “In development” and unavailable for download.
