Onionskin, a PDF markup tool that respects the drawing
A local-first PDF markup app for architects, engineers, and builders, with multi-leader callouts, vector snips, revision overlays, and per-page measurement.
Field notes
The application treats markups as editable drawing objects rather than flattened annotations: nodes, text, styles, rotation, and stacking order remain available after placement. Its construction-specific library includes twenty hatch patterns, seven line patterns, ten line endings, tables, groups, and vector snips that retain drawing operators when enlarged to 800%. Revision comparisons align two sheets on selected points and can be exported as flattened PDFs.
