Pack Walks of America Wants to Turn Dog Walks Into a National Ritual
A free, structured community dog-walking movement that began in Idaho and is collecting requests for expansion across the American West.
Field notes
The project uses a simple operating protocol rather than treating a group dog walk as an unstructured meetup. Its two Idaho chapters have different rhythms—every other Saturday for the Treasure Valley walk, and Sundays at 9 AM for Magic Valley—and rotate or return to specified locations. A request form is intended to collect demand from other states, with the site saying that sufficient interest could lead to a first walk being established and transferred to a local host.
