The project explains violin making through a fixed workshop sequence, linking material choices and individual components to sound, stability, and playability. It gives unusually concrete time scales: wood may dry naturally for five to ten years, construction may take several weeks, and varnish can require one to three months of drying. The article also frames the instrument as roughly 70 wooden pieces joined mostly with reversible hot glue, giving readers both a physical inventory and a reason to care about repair and adjustment.
