The project separates control into a custom kernel, a microcontroller-level loop, and a serial-line watcher that supplies bounded values without directly operating machinery. Copper routines use eight registers and about thirty operations, with a fuel rule governing whether work continues; the page gives a high-high interlock example that reads its own float switch, latches a trip, and shuts off a pump. The author states that the system is not safety-certified and is not for sale at this stage.
