ToneCommand Gives an FM9 a Language Interface
An open-source desktop tool turns natural-language tone requests into multi-scene presets for the Fractal FM9 over USB MIDI.
Field notes
ToneCommand accepts a natural-language request, generates a signal chain and scene-by-scene settings, and places the exact proposed parameter changes in front of the user before writing to an FM9. The page describes eight scenes per preset, a searchable library of 331 amps and 2,237 cabs, and verification by reading the hardware back after each write. It supports macOS, Windows, and Linux and identifies the project as free software under the Apache-2.0 license.
