YE — The Illustrated Stay
A Shanghai-based travel creator documents hotel rooms, destinations, and stays through hand-drawn illustrations on each hotel’s own stationery.
Field notes
The project treats hotel stationery as both drawing surface and provenance: each sheet retains the property’s letterhead, material qualities, and visual identity. The visible portfolio contains 22 studies, including a four-drawing, one-story record of Hotel The Mitsui Kyoto and a four-drawing, two-story account of PONANT’s L’Austral. The artist says the accompanying stories are written in Chinese and links the work to Xiaohongshu.
