Bolted, an Offline Safety Desk for Rock Climbers
A free mobile tool for drawing cliff-photo topos, managing crag catalogs, and reporting dangerous climbing hardware without cellular service.
Field notes
The app combines a route-authoring canvas with a safety-reporting workflow intended for use at remote crags. Its drawing tools include control-point editing, climbing-specific bolt and anchor stamps, ten contrast swatches, and three line weights. For hazard reports, the site describes an embedded SQLite database, local photo and issue queues, and idempotent synchronization after connectivity returns. The connected catalog is said to include more than 100 TABVAR crags, while locally authored crags can be exported and updated.
