Participants use a Garmin watch or Edge bike computer with a Marshal data screen while their phone relays reports over Bluetooth. The stated interval is 60 seconds, and the control-room view exposes the age of each device's last confirmed report, turning silence into amber and then red status. Organisers create events and enter an event token, while the site explicitly assigns them responsibility for obtaining participant consent and deleting data.
