OpenNoteTaker keeps meeting notes on your machine
A browser-based meeting recorder that transcribes locally, separates speakers, and exports notes without sending audio to a server.
Field notes
OpenNoteTaker captures the audio already playing in a browser tab together with microphone input, then runs Whisper compiled to WebAssembly locally. It offers speaker separation and exports in subtitles, Markdown, text, JSON, CSV, and HTML formats. A separate extension can notice calls opening on Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, and VooV, but it only prompts the user; the page says recording still proceeds through a consent screen every time. The browser app itself requires no account or installation.
