Overlayn: Translation for Words Trapped in Images
Overlayn detects text embedded in photos, screenshots, scans, charts, and diagrams, then replaces it with a translation in the same position.
Field notes
Overlayn targets text that exists only as image content: chart labels, diagram callouts, screenshots, scanned pages, and photographed words. Its stated workflow is to detect and read those pixels, remove the source lettering, then render the translation in the original location, size, and color. The interface accepts PNG, JPEG, and WEBP files, allows clipboard pasting, lists 20 destination languages, and advertises batches of up to 50 images.
