A book-composition service turns difficult manuscripts into print-ready interiors and reflowable EPUBs.

Landing page captured for the 2026-09-10 issue.

Field notes

The workflow is explicitly divided into four stages: receive, interpret, compose, and verify. Pagifex asks for an editable manuscript, usable-resolution images, and a target printer or trim, then lists outputs including a print interior PDF, a reflowable EPUB, linked contents, and an image-resolution report. Its examples cover critical editions, indexes, right-to-left scripts, poetry, and illustrated books.
