BubbleBoard uses a daycare-issued QR code rather than usernames and passwords: one family code can connect the household’s phones, tablets, and computers, while educators receive separate access. Its stated privacy model encrypts photos, messages, and children’s names on the device before transmission, and the site says the server does not hold the decryption keys. The project also publishes its code on GitHub under AGPL-3.0 and describes configurable photo removal ranging from one day to three months.
