GD Minion, a local-first game-design editor
A game-design workspace for GDDs, characters, dialogue, branching scenes, event graphs, drawings, and media, stored on the creator’s own device.
Field notes
Projects are represented as local SQLite archives rather than monolithic documents, with blocks and entities linked across GDD sections, dialogue, scenes, and events. The event graph includes analysis for cycles, orphaned nodes, and impossible paths, while media files are deduplicated by content. The site also describes field-by-field replica merging, local grandfather-parent-child backup retention, and a .gdm package that carries an entire project.
