The Global Cat Health Survey 2026
A comparative survey of breeding-health requirements set by pedigree cat registries and governments across countries, breeds, and jurisdictions.
Field notes
The project combines a registry-rule census with a legal comparison, scoring both against twelve provisions so private association requirements can be read alongside government oversight. Its stated dataset covers 80 registries in 42 countries and 125 jurisdictions in 49 countries, with rules coded from primary documents in their original languages. Six case studies follow particular traits, genes, or measurements through to their effects on cats.
