The utility distinguishes a verified output from a merely matching device name by checking Bluetooth hardware addresses against devices already paired with the Mac. Users choose which outputs may trigger the chime, while the app deliberately leaves routing and volume unchanged; changing the output during a check stops playback. It supports macOS 13 or later and uses Command-Shift-H by default, with two alternate shortcut presets available.
