OrigoText checks student papers against the open web
A plagiarism-checking tool that searches selected sentences in a submission and shows matching sources beside the student's text.
Field notes
The workflow narrows a submission to approximately 10–15 sentences containing names, dates, and other specific facts, then searches those passages in quotation marks against a daily-updated web index. Results include the source page, a direct link, and the matching passage beside the submitted text. The service excludes closed institutional repositories, offline books, and non-verbatim rewrites, and says uploaded documents remain in memory only while analysis runs.
