Field notes

preDNS uses a temporary proxy route to send requests for an existing domain to a supplied IPv4 or IPv6 destination while public DNS remains unchanged. The preview preserves the original domain for the destination server and attempts to adapt links and redirects, but other domains and external APIs remain external. Links expire after 24 hours, and the service warns that forms, logins, and admin changes may touch real data.
