SafeBuffer: A Voice Evidence Recorder
Credibility concern recorded. The source reference remains available for verification and correction.
An Android app that records conversations, preserves selected audio segments, and exports hashed, timestamped evidence reports.
Field notes
SafeBuffer describes a four-step workflow: start background recording, select and lock a conversation segment, generate a hash and server timestamp, then export a PDF or Word report. Its storage model is unusually explicit: recordings remain on the device, while speech-to-text uploads are said to be deleted after conversion. The page specifies 32 kbps AAC files, roughly 2.4 MB per ten minutes, and says the current release supports Android rather than iOS.
